In this session, Alexia Eslan, Senior Consultant at John Snow Inc. reviewed common operational reasons that contribute to voluntary separation of provider staff at health centers. The STAR² Center’s own Suzanne Speer closed the session by introducing the brand new STAR² Center Turnover Self-Assessment Tool which attendees are asked to complete before the final session in this series.

Dr. Torey Mack, Deputy Associate Administrator for Bureau of Health Workforce, spoke about burnout and its effect on turnover, as well as steps that HRSA is taking to combat the issue at health centers. Alexia Eslan, Senior Consultant at John Snow Inc. spoke about turnover and it’s impact on providers and organizations overall. Finally, Suzanne Speer, Director of Workforce Development for ACU, spoke about the financial implications of turnover and showcased one of the STAR² Center’s tools available to help assess the true cost of turnover at an organization.

This webinar was presented on June 13, 2019. The STAR² Center team provided an overview of the newly updated Data Profiles and a sneak peek of the interactive Data Dashboards that house this dynamic resource. Data Profiles created for this release were shared via email to health center CEOs and PCA staff who have signed a data use agreement (available in our Information Center) over the week of June 17, 2019.
This session was presented on June 12, 2019, as the sixth and final session in this series. The STAR² Center’s Suzanne Speer closed out this series by providing a review of topics covered so far and touching on the importance of involving your board members in your planning. She also provided a sneak peek of the Compensation Self Assessment tool that the STAR² Center will release in the near future.
