Description:
Adequate and appropriate training is vital for a health center’s success and growth. According to Gallup research, the immediate manager is the top reason an employee quits their job. Specific training is essential for managers to lead a diverse, engaged and productive team. The STAR² Center invites you to apply for the High-Functioning Managers Learning Collaborative. During this collaborative managers will learn and enhance the skills needed to be effective in their roles. Each session will focus on a different competency area to be a high-functioning manager such as leadership style, team culture, and communication, to name a few.
Participation will be limited to representatives from 25 health centers.
Sessions for this learning collaborative will be 60 minutes long and will be held every other Wednesday at 2pm ET from September 23 – November 18, 2020
Learning Collaborative Schedule:
- September 23, 2020 *this session will be 90 minutes long to allow for introductory content.
- October 7, 2020.
- October 21, 2020
- November 4, 2020.
- November 18, 2020.
The application for this learning collaborative has now closed. Applicants were notified of their conditional acceptance on September 11. This acceptance was confirmed by health center leadership acknowledging and commiting to the applicant’s participation in the cohort by Setember 21, 2020.
