The ACU (Association of Clinicians for the Underserved) Workforce Project, the STAR² Center, offers free tools, training, and assistance to community health centers. This Webinar will provide an overview of these tools, with special focus paid to the unique individual CHC recruitment & retention Data Profiles to address individual health center workforce needs as well as national trends in workforce data. Our speaker, Allison Abayasekara, is the Director, Training and Technical Assistance of the Association of Clinicians for the Underserved.
ACU is a nonprofit, transdisciplinary membership organization of clinicians, advocates, and organizations that provide, promote, and work to improve healthcare for underserved populations. ACU was funded by the Bureau of Primary Health Care to create the Solutions, Training, and Assistance for Recruitment and Retention (STAR²) Center to help health centers address their clinician workforce challenges.
Allison joined ACU in 2014 and oversees ACU’s training curriculum, directs the STAR² Center, and develops emerging programs. Allison has worked with community health centers for nearly a decade, serving previously at the Pennsylvania Association of Community Health Centers and the National Association of Community Health Centers.
