Recruiting involved and experienced Chief Medical Officers is essential for community health centers to meet the growing challenges of today’s healthcare environment. Increasingly, payment is tied to clinical performance defined by utilization and quality metrics, and the role of Chief Medical Officer becomes more important for operations and more competitive for recruitment. Various clinician disciplines play important roles in the quality and care team, and a physician leader is a key component. This presentation will cover physician leadership attributes in general and specifically for community health centers.
