  • I think we have found a good set of interview questions to find the right fit for our organization. We also have a good interview team that are good judges to an applicants character and motive.

My favorite is interview question is “What motivates you?” I like this question because we have been trying to build a team at UMC that are there for the right reasons. We want to support or community and have a work family. This question helps us understand if they are a fit or not.

Because UMC is so small we haven’t really used or thought HR Metrics would help in analyzing our recruitment costs. I love to hear what other organizations are using and how they find the metrics beneficial.

Yes, we have used Zoom before.

    Thank you!

    Thank you!

I would love some ideas on how you get your Board of Directors involved in the recruitment process.

    Ok, thank you!

    Hi Suzanne,

I have uploaded them again. Please let me know if you don’t receive them.

    Thank you,

    Sarah

I think I have uploaded my Responsibilities. Please let me know if you cannot see them. Thanks!

Honestly we haven’t been using community members as part of our recruitment process. I tried using local realtors a couple years ago when we were hiring a CMO but they weren’t interested. Weird I know… I am eager to understand how other recruitment staff use community members and how it could work for us.

I think my biggest challenge in pulling our recruitment team together is time. Time to meet to discuss the position and time that works for everyone to be part of the interview process.

    Glad I wasn’t the only one :)

Checking in on homework for this week. Are we to come up with recruitment plan or just work on the items listed in the slide ( community connections, recruitment team, etc.)?

I feel that I am strong in following up on good leads and working hard to set up interviews/advertising for openings. I can get overwhelmed by the hiring process for providers when we are not receiving any qualified applicants and a looming vacancy is upon our organization. It is an up hill battle – where do we look next, who do we advertise with now, can we afford it?
